Koradi Power Station Receives National Honors for Record Production

Nagpur. Mahagenco’s Koradi Thermal Power Station has won prestigious national awards for its outstanding performance in the fields of power generation efficiency, fuel consumption, and eco-friendly power generation.
These awards were presented by the hands of Mr. Anil Razdan, former Union Energy Secretary to the Government of India, at an awards ceremony organized by the ‘Council of Environmental Excellence’ in New Delhi on March 23, 2026.
The Koradi Thermal Power Project received honors in the following three key categories:
1. Energy Efficient Coal Project of the Year – (Unit No. 08)
2. Energy Efficient Retrofitted Unit of the Year – (Unit No. 06)
3. Energy Efficient Fuel Utilization Project of the Year – (Unit No. 08)
This highest honor was received on behalf of the Mahagenco Koradi Thermal Power Project by its dedicated Chief Engineer, Mr. Vilas G. Motghare; Mr. Pravin Bute was also present on this occasion.
This magnificent success of the Koradi Thermal Power Plant underscores its unwavering commitment to sustainable, efficient, and eco-friendly power generation. Furthermore, Mahagenco’s reputation at the national level has been further bolstered by its excellence, innovative initiatives, and operational efficiency within the energy sector.
