The 51st Foundation Day of the Koradi Power Plant, located 15 km from Nagpur Zero Mile, was celebrated with great enthusiasm.

 

In his presidential address, Power Generation Director Mr. Sanjay Marudkar stated that environmental protection and maximum power generation are the needs of the hour. He further stated that the Koradi Thermal Power Station has established a glorious record over five decades. The power station is celebrating its 51st Foundation Day today. Mr. Abhay Harne, Construction Project Director of Mahanirmiti, stated that the high expectations for the Koradi Power Plant are the need of the hour. Infrastructure development must be achieved through improved performance of the project’s construction works.

The Koradi Thermal Power Station, which has completed a glorious journey of five decades by providing uninterrupted and reliable power supply to the state, celebrated its 51st anniversary with great enthusiasm. The event was presided over by Sanjay Marudkar (Director-Operations). Chief guests included Abhay Harne (Director-Projects), Manish Waghirkar (Director-Finance), as well as Executive Directors Pankaj Sapate and Rajesh Patil, and Chief Engineers Vilas Motghare, Sunil Sonpethkar, Vivek Rokde, Sharad Bhagat, and other senior officials.

In his presidential address, Sanjay Marudkar said, “The Koradi station achieved record power generation last year, and the goal now is to achieve sustainable and long-term maximum power generation.” Implementing eco-friendly and cost-effective solutions is the need of the hour. The contribution of every employee strengthens this journey.”

Abhay Harne, while detailing the new projects planned in accordance with Mahanimati’s “Vision 2035,” said that even more is expected from the Koradi Center. He also said, “Koradi has always been a leader in innovation.”

Manish Waghirkar expressed satisfaction with the recent high power generation and urged infrastructure development through improved performance.

Chief Engineer Mr. Vilas Motghare reviewed Koradi’s record performance, upcoming plans, and highlighted the need for modern facilities such as residential complexes, hospitals, swimming pools, gymnasiums, etc. in the area.

Executive Directors Pankaj Sapate, Rajesh Patil, Executive Director in Charge of Architecture Mr. Vivek Rokde, and Purushottam Warjurkar also spoke at the event.

The cultural program included a Dhol-Tasha squad, a Phatka show, Sangeet Rajini, along with “Happy Street,” sports competitions, arts, entertainment, “Non-Stop 51,” and karaoke. The show and blood donation camp included various attractions, including the collection of 76 bags.

The program was conducted by Rituja Ghongade and Pooja Mahalle. Sandeep Thackeray gave the introduction, Praveen Bute was the coordinator for the message and prize distribution, and Mayur Mendhekar gave the vote of thanks.

The successful organization of this program received valuable support from the officers, engineers, employees, department heads, organization representatives, and the officials of the anniversary organizing committee of Koradi Thermal Power Station. A large number of electrical workers participated enthusiastically
