Leader Bajanghate Accused of Obstructing Company Operations
Nagpur: The Mahagenco Contractors’ Association has demanded action against the National Polymer Workers’ Union (NPKWU) regarding the difficulties faced by contractor companies working at the thermal power station. Rajesh Rangari, President of the Mahagenco Contractors’ Association, has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Engineer of the power project, stating that Bhimrao Bajanghate, a leader of the National Polymer Workers’ Union, is causing undue harassment to officials and company owners by repeatedly filing complaints.
Many contractors are facing mental stress due to the alleged misconduct of labor leader Bhimrao Bajanghate. For instance,
The Maharashtra State Electricity Construction Company Ltd. is being accused of obstructing the work of M/s A.B.U. Construction—an e-tender holding company—at the Koradi Power Station. According to the company’s owner, labor leader Bhimrao Bajanghate is also alleged to have harassed Mahagenco’s administrative officials and department heads by repeatedly filing complaints regarding alleged labor-related issues.
The owner of the tender-holding company further stated that the Labor Court had outright dismissed a case filed by labor leader Bhimrao Bajanghate. Despite this, Mr. Bajanghate continues to engage in correspondence. Mr. Bajanghate is also accused of inciting and instigating workers against the company. This is creating unrest within the management of the tender-holding company. Moreover, the Managing Director, Director of Electrical Construction, and Executive Director—stationed at the Mahagenco headquarters at Prakashgad in Mumbai—have forwarded Bajanghate’s complaint letters to the relevant officials at the Koradi Power Plant for inquiry. Consequently, following an investigation conducted by senior departmental officials, these complaints were declared baseless, and a detailed report was forwarded to the headquarters.
Rajesh Rangari, President of the Mahajanco Contractor Association (Koradi), has submitted a formal complaint to the Managing Director and the Director of Electrical Works at Mahanirmiti (Mumbai) against labor leader Bhimrao Bajanghate. In this letter, he has requested that the National Polymer Workers’ Union be banned and that the aggrieved e-tender holding company be relieved from the harassment caused by recurring complaints.
